SCB was Awarded Environmental Risk Deal of the Year 2007/8

SCB Group was awarded the Environmental Risk Deal of the Year for 2007/8 brokering the largest used cooking oil (UCO) biodiesel deal ever transacted.
SCB Group CEO Kevin McGeeney stated, “We’d been working with Petrotec to try to gain early placement of their product with a oil major, we felt this was key for them as it would raise awareness of their product.”
Although this is currently the largest UCO deal ever completed, McGeeney believes that similar deals are on the horizon declaring, “We’ll be seeing many more of these sorts of deals as the EU-wide mandates being to come in force. Given the greenhouse gas savings, we believe there will be many companies moving early on this.”
